Moving home appliances and furniture, while not as heavy as moving construction equipment or commercial air conditioning units, are some of the most challenging lifts we’ve made over the years. The reason is that residential furniture and appliances have to be lifted in extremely tight spaces, with a lot of architectural and structural obstacles surrounding the crane’s trajectory. Moreover, a lot of the surfaces that we plant our outriggers on (which bear the load of the crane/truck) is not only uneven, they can also be unstable, breakable (e.g., clay tiles) and of limited load bearing capacity. There is a tremendous amount of “anticipatory” problem solving involved in setting up the crane and completing the lift without damaging fragile residential surfaces and structures.
We have completed very complex jobs in numerous neighborhoods like Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles, Pasadena and the beach cities with 100% success. Whether it’s a high population density community, or a labyrinth of expensive glass houses by the beach – we’ve been there and done that.
